Rams LT Alaric Jackson Expected to Be Suspended 2 Games for Punching Bills' Bradley Chubb

By The Sports Nus Staff | October 13, 2026

The NFL is expected to suspend Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson two games without pay after he punched Bills outside linebacker Bradley Chubb in the face following Monday night's game at SoFi Stadium, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. The league has not yet formally notified the team or the NFLPA, but the expectation is a two-game ban.

The incident happened while players were still on the field after Buffalo's 37-34 overtime win. ESPN cameras caught it: Jackson was standing near midfield exchanging jerseys with Bills defensive lineman Deone Walker when Chubb appeared to say something in his direction. Jackson walked toward Chubb and punched him in the face with his right hand. Chubb had to be held back by teammates, and Rams tight end Colby Parkinson pulled Jackson away.

"It's just emotions, you know what I mean? Emotional game. It was a close game," Chubb told the California Post. "And you know, they always catch the second guy. So, I let him swing. And then my teammates held me back, and I just chilled."

Jackson would miss the Rams' Week 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals and Week 7 against the Las Vegas Raiders, returning in Week 8. He has started all five games this season protecting Matthew Stafford's blind side.

This is Jackson's second NFL suspension. He was suspended two games to start the 2024 season for violating the league's personal conduct policy. He could also face further discipline under that policy after a June arrest on suspicion of felony domestic violence, though he was not formally charged.

What it means

The Rams are 2-3 and now lose their starting left tackle for two weeks. With the Cardinals and Raiders up next, LA will likely turn to David Quessenberry or rookie Keagen Trost at left tackle. Stafford has already been under pressure, and losing Jackson for two games makes the Rams' climb back to .500 a lot harder.
