I will say it plain, because the 1 PM games do not wait for your waiver priority to reset. The best add in fantasy football this morning is a New York Jets rookie most of your league still thinks is a depth piece. His name is Omar Cooper Jr. and Week 6 already told you the story.

Cooper caught 6 of 7 targets for 103 yards and a touchdown in the Jets' 26-19 loss to New England, leading the Jets in targets in his first game back from an ankle injury. A rookie leading his team in targets in his first game back is exactly the kind of role signal our Fantasy Football HQ page puts at the top of Waiver Wire Watch. He ran a route on 85 percent of dropbacks in that game. That is not a cameo. That is a job.

Now look at what is in front of him. The Jets host Miami today, a team still looking for its first win, and Cooper is the receiver the Jets just built their passing game around. First-round rookies who lead their team in targets do not stay on waivers in October unless there is a wart to point at, and the only wart here is the ankle that just healed.

The honest check is the offense around him. The Jets are 2-4 and the quarterback play has been uneven, so Cooper's floor will move with the game script. That is the risk and it is a real one. It is also the reason he is still available. Receivers with a 103-yard game on an 85 percent route share do not sit on waivers unless something scares people off.

Make the add today, before the Miami game turns last week's target line into next week's bidding war. And if you want the rest of the Week 7 picture before you spend the move, the full waiver list, the Week 6 breakouts and the streaming plays are all on the Fantasy Football HQ page.

By Kingston O'Neal, who does not wait for Tuesday to grab a starter the injury report just created.
