Role
Durant is Houston's projected starting small forward and its go-to scorer. He averaged 26 a game in his first Rockets season and made All-NBA Second Team. At this stage the question is only how much Houston still needs him to carry late in games.
How he got here
Seattle drafted Durant second overall in 2007 out of Texas. Houston acquired him in a trade from Phoenix on July 6, 2025 and extended him on October 19, 2025.
