Tyreek Hill Could Sign This Week as Chiefs Lead the Chase
Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN he is negotiating with multiple teams for the eight-time Pro Bowler. The 4-0 Chiefs, suddenly thin at receiver, have stayed in contact.
The Cheetah might be coming home.
Tyreek Hill's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday that he plans to begin negotiating a deal for the veteran wide receiver with multiple teams, and that Hill could sign within days.
"I would anticipate Tyreek potentially signing with a team over the next few days," Rosenhaus said.
One of those teams is the Kansas City Chiefs, who have maintained contact with Hill throughout his rehab. A reunion makes more sense now than it did a week ago: the Chiefs lost Tyquan Thornton to a dislocated ankle (out indefinitely) and Rashee Rice to a hamstring injury in Sunday's win over the Raiders.
The fit in Kansas City
Hill spent the first six seasons of his career with the Chiefs after they drafted him in the fifth round in 2016. He caught 479 passes for 6,630 yards and 56 touchdowns in Kansas City, won Super Bowl LIV, and made five All-Pro teams before the 2022 trade to Miami.
His former teammates are openly recruiting. Travis Kelce told The Athletic: "I'd love to have 'The Cheetah' back in this building. He's a brother." Patrick Mahomes added: "It'd be pretty cool." Chris Jones and L'Jarius Sneed have also voiced support.
Hill has been teasing a return for weeks, posting workout clips including one of him cutting on a beach with no visible limitation from the torn ACL and dislocated left knee he suffered 13 months ago. He has been targeting a November return.
What about the other suitors?
The Giants (3-1) and Ravens (3-1) have also been linked to Hill. Rosenhaus said Hill plans to play only for a contender, which keeps all three in play alongside the 4-0 Chiefs.
Hill, 32, played four games for Miami in 2025 before the injury, catching 26 passes for 265 yards and one touchdown. In 145 career games he has 819 receptions for 11,363 yards and 83 touchdowns.
Betting angle
If Hill lands in Kansas City, the Chiefs' already strong Super Bowl position gets another jolt. A healthy-enough Hill stretching the field for Mahomes in November and December is the kind of midseason addition that moves futures. Watch the Chiefs' odds if the signing becomes official this week.
