The Parlay of the Day is its own ticket. Opening night belongs to the NBA on the straight board, so the parlay goes all hockey: five moneyline favorites across five buildings. No leg repeats a straight pick on the board.

The legs

Canadiens moneyline (-210) against the Sharks at the Bell Centre at 7:00 PM ET. Capitals moneyline (-164) against the Kings at Capital One Arena at 7:00 PM ET. Stars moneyline (-164) against the Bruins at American Airlines Center at 8:00 PM ET. Oilers moneyline (-134) against the Wild at Rogers Place at 9:00 PM ET. Devils moneyline (-110) against the Avalanche at Prudential Center at 7:00 PM ET.

The math

Five legs at -210, -164, -164, -134 and -110 combine to +1175. A $10 ticket returns $127.53. This is the lottery ticket, not the rent money, and it is priced and tracked like everything else on the board.
